Dennis Schell practices law in the areas of intellectual property, e-commerce, technology, and aviation. Dennis is a graduate cum laude of Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the US District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Electronic Warfare & Information Operations Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, Warbirds of America, and the Commemorative Air Force.
Prior to forming the Innovation Law Office of Dennis Schell, Dennis practiced intellectual property law for six years with the two largest law firms in Indiana. Prior to practicing law, Dennis served as a U.S. Air Force F-15E Instructor Weapon Systems Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer. Preceding his military service, he was a control systems engineer with an Indiana-based engineering consulting firm that developed automated test and assembly equipment for the automotive and other industries. Dennis is a life long aviator and currently enjoys flying historic WWII aircraft as a volunteer pilot for the Indiana Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.
